Yoga Teacher Training will be commencing at the Bowral Yoga Studio from February 2013. The course is Yoga Australia recognised and is comprised of 8 weekends 6am – 6pm, a 5-day retreat, regular weekly 2 hour teacher training yoga classes (6am – 8am) and home practice. The course is 350 hours in length and on completion, students qualify as a Level I Yoga Instructor.
Kate has been offering Yoga Teacher Training course since 2006 and her course is very highly regarded in the Yoga world. This course comprises of an integration of Ancient Eastern and more modern contempory philosophies of “being human” and how to feel rather than force oneself into postures.
Topics include: Philosophy of Patanjalis eight fold path, Pranayama – slow and fast rhythms, Developmental movement patterns, Yoga Asanas – alignment, adjustment and sequencing, Vipassana meditation – being present to each moment, Yogic physiology of the Chakras, Koshas and Pranavayus, Yoga Teaching skills – observation, adjustment and sequencing, Functional Anatomy, Home practices, Meridians and body work, Ayurvedic medicine and cooking.
Regular weekly practice: Fridays 6am – 8am
Home practice – a regular monthly practice is given to each student to learn from and practice at your own leisure.
Weekend workshops: 6am – 6pm (6- 8.30am, 10 – 1pm, 2 – 6pm) Dates: February 23rd & 24th March 23rd & 24th April 27th & 28th May 25th & 26th June 22nd & 23rd, August 24th & 25th October 26th & 27th November 23rd & 24th.
RETREAT dates: JULY 8th – 13th
